Procrastination, as many argue, is a cycle. You procrastinate something to death and then, 20 minutes before it's due, you turn in something completely half-assed and exclaim, "Golly gee whillikers! I'm never going to do that again!"
But you will. You always will. Even if you think you won't, you will. It is your inescapable fate.
Sure, you can stave it off for a while. On your next project you may even turn it in a full day before it's due. This spectacular feat amazes you and the next time you are given an assignment you will chuckle knowingly and say, "I can handle this silly little task. This due date does not know who it is dealing with." A few people (who also consequently have no friends) may indeed be able to handle such a daunting task. But the rest of us normal people will become so over-confident in our nonexistent ablities to avoid procrastinating that we will end up back where we started: 20 minutes before our assignment is due with nothing to turn in.

The cycle will thusly continue. It may be sparratic. You may go an entire month without procrastinating, but there will always be a point where you foolishly believe that you will never procrastinate again, lulling you into a false sense of security. It is at this point that the cycle begins anew.
Personally, I do not deny my tendency to procrastinate; I embrace it.
I still try not to, but I also acknowledge that I'm not a freakin' robot. I am a human being, and we procrastinate. That's all there is to it.
So now if you'll excuse me, I have an editorial to write for my English class that's due tomorrow.
OK, but in all seriousness, I'm probably gonna surf the web, read some manga, and hang out with my roommates first. And maybe watch some Daily Show and Colbert Report. And make tea.
